About

Connected Kids Occupational Therapy is owned and operated by Occupational Therapist, Claire Scanlon. Claire grew up on the South Coast, and is committed to supporting children and their families to experience joyful, purposeful and connected lives. 


Connected Kids Occupational Therapy is a paediatric occupational therapy practicededicated to supporting children to participate in the occupations of childhood: play, social participation, activities of daily living, education/learning and sleep/rest. Claire has a special interest in sensory processing, sensory integration, emotional regulation, developmental trauma, primitive reflex integration, visual skills, motor skills and celebrating neurodiversity.


Claire graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology from The University of Wollongong in 2012. While studying Psychology, she worked as a Play Therapist with children on the Autism Spectrum. which opened her eyes to the positive impacts that Occupational Therapy can have for children and their families. Claire then proceeded to study a Master of Occupational Therapy at The University of Sydney, graduating in 2015.  Since this time she has worked predominantly in private practice, within home, school, clinic and community settings. 


Claire has experience working with children with a range of diagnoses, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Sensory Processing Disorder
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder
  • Developmental Delay and
  • Developmental Trauma.
